The code written on the health insurance card consists of 15 characters, of which the last 10 characters are the social insurance number. According to current regulations, the use of social insurance codes is unique, unchanged during the process of participating, paying and enjoying social insurance and health insurance; Therefore, the last 10 characters are the unique identifier of each person during the process of participating in health insurance. Particularly, the first 5 characters of the health insurance card code will change when there is an adjustment to the participating group and the corresponding benefit level of the insured.

Specifically, the card number will be divided into 4 cells. The first two characters (the first box) denoted by letters (according to the Latin alphabet) are codes of subjects participating in health insurance. In case a person belongs to many different beneficiaries of health insurance, the subject code written on the health insurance card is the code of the first insured person determined in the order of the subjects specified in Clause 6, Article 1 of the Law on Health Insurance. amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Health Insurance.

The next character (the second box) is denoted by a number (in the order from 1 to 5) is the level of health insurance benefits. 44 codes of subjects participating in health insurance

The first two characters (the first box) of the health insurance card are denoted by letters (according to the Latin alphabet) as the code of the participants of health insurance.
